She was the granddaughter of Isaac Davis, the advisor to Kamehameha I. She was a lady in waiting to Queen Emma. She also helped to re-establish the Ka`ahumanu Society. She supported Queen Emma’s bid for the throne against David Kalakaua. Her inherited collection of ethnographic artifacts dating back to the days of her grandfather consisted of over 1,300 artifacts that are now in the collections at the Bishop Museum.
